The Bihar Public Service Commission has announced that the BPSC Head Master written exam for 2024 is set for June 14. This recruitment drive aims to fill 6061 vacancies for Head Master positions in Bihar, with 2014 positions reserved for women applicants. The online application process ran from March 11 to April 2, 2024. Candidates can expect the admit cards to be released approximately a week before the exam date.
Exam pattern and qualifying marks
The BPSC Head Master Exam Pattern for 2024 features a written examination consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions. It comprises two parts, with Part 1 centred on General Knowledge and Part 2 focusing on B.Ed Subjects. There are a total of 150 questions carrying 150 marks, with no negative marking. Part 1 comprises 100 questions worth 100 marks, while Part 2 comprises 50 questions. The duration of the exam is two hours and thirty minutes.
Qualifying marks vary according to category: 40% for the general category, 36.5% for the Other Backward Class, 34% for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Handicapped/Women, and 32% for the Extremely Backward Class.

for General Studies encompasses various topics including General Science, Current events of national and international importance, History of India and salient features of Bihar’s history, Indian National movement and Bihar’s role in it, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, and Elementary Mathematics and Mental ability test.
