NIIFT Mohali Opens Applications for BVoc Fashion Design & Garment Tech

  • Admission open for BVoc Fashion Design and Garment Technology at NIIFT Mohali.
  • Apply by May 27 on niiftindia.com.
  • Program exclusively available at NIIFT Ludhiana campus.
  • Duration: Three years.
  • Affiliated with Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
  • 25 seats available.
  • Career opportunities include:
    • Fashion designer
    • Graphic designer
    • Merchandiser in export and buying houses
    • Visual merchandiser
    • Planning and concept manager
    • Garment production manager
    • Garment production quality controller
    • Fashion accessory designer
    • Fashion retail store manager
    • Personal stylist
    • Teacher and trainer.
  • Registration fee: Rs 1,750 for general category; Rs 440 for SC, ST, and PHP categories.

Eligibility:

  • Plus two certificate in 10+2 exam pattern.
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
  • Three or four-years diploma recognised by AICTE or a state board of technical education.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • Any Public School or Board or University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system.

Important dates 

  • Date for applying online Application: January 15 to May 27
  • Date of written exams for Under Graduate Courses: June 2
  • Receipt of written Exam result of Under Graduate: June 15
  • Three Counselling sessions for Post Graduate Courses as per PTU norms: June 18-19
  • Situation test and interview for Undergraduate Courses: June 18-19
  • First counselling for Undergraduate Courses, Second counselling and Third counselling for Undergraduate Courses: June 20-21
  • Open Admission for vacant seats (if any) after three rounds of Counselling on first come first serve basis for eligible candidates: June 24 onwards till last date of admission as announced by I.K.G Punjab Technical University
